As a premier CNC manufacturing company, Arrow Off-Road is proud to deliver high-quality components and equipment to global OEMs who expect products of uncompromising durability, reliability, and performance.
To help us accomplish this, we hold multiple certifications in world-class safety standard programs that showcase our unwavering commitment to quality, safety, and skills upgrading in our operations.
In this month’s blog, we discuss which quality certifications we hold, which of our production facilities hold them, and why they’re important to our customers.
ISO9001:2015
Arrow Off-Road’s production facilities in Guelph, Cambridge, Stratford, and China hold this critical certification. Published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the 2015 is the latest version of the 9001 standard.
ISO 9001:2015 is widely regarded as the benchmark for quality management for companies and organizations around the world. It provides a structured framework for organizations of all sizes and sectors to consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements while optimizing overall customer satisfaction.
This quality program promotes a process-oriented approach that encourages companies to view individual tasks as part of a bigger, interrelated picture. This allows them to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in every aspect of their operations. It also places a heavy emphasis on risk-based thinking and proactive measures to identify and mitigate potential risks before they can impact the quality of a product or service.
Another critical component of ISO 9001:2015 is its focus on understanding customer needs, enabling business leaders to establish a strategic direction for exceeding customer expectations and measuring their satisfaction.

ISO14001:2015
Our production facilities in Guelph also carry the ISO14001:2015 certification, which sets out the criteria for effective environmental management systems. Although it’s not mandatory to carry this certification, we believe that following its framework of policies that promote the efficient use of resources and the reduction of waste helps build trust within the metalworking industry.
The program emphasizes a risk-based approach to compliance that encourages proactive initiatives such as sustainable resource use, alternate material sourcing, recycling of materials, resources and equipment whenever possible, and the protection of the ecosystem.
This means that under ISO14001:2015, Arrow Off-Road must identify and evaluate the environmental aspects of our products, services, and activities for legal and other compliance obligations, potential environmental impacts, and ongoing optimization of our environmental performance.
We’re also required to engage with stakeholders and interested parties to gather their views and expectations and convey relevant information related to our environmental initiatives internally and externally, outlining what our teams are doing to help make our industry more sustainable.
Controlled Goods Certified
Our production facilities in Guelph, Woodstock, Cambridge, and Stratford possess the Controlled Goods Certification. This means that we have the qualifications to securely design, build, assemble, test, and transport products that fall under Canada’s national security framework, such as for sensitive aerospace and defence applications on Canada’s Controlled Goods List.
The program is managed by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) under the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
This certification extends beyond most quality programs in Canada as authorized manufacturing companies are also required to prevent the unauthorized access, transfer, or proliferation of sensitive items such as weapons, military vehicles, components, or technical data that could pose a threat if obtained by people or entities with malicious intent.
We have a Designated Official (DO) who oversees the internal compliance program and ensures that all Arrow team members who access controlled goods are thoroughly screened and trained. Team members are required to keep detailed records of all controlled goods under their care and immediately report any losses, thefts, or compliance breaches to the DO.
With the Controlled Goods Certification, Arrow Off-Road is also certified and compliant with the program’s strict security measures and protocols, giving us the ability to operate securely and compete successfully in global markets.
